Sanyu Africa midwives’ commonwealth Association (SAMCA) is an association formed by the midwives who have benefitted and attended midwifery fellowship in the United Kingdom under the commonwealth scholarship program.
Our proposed maternity midwifery activity aims at making maternity services excellent through celebrating the positives, changes to be wished and bringing them about. We hope the maternity midwifery will connect midwives in the rural areas to the midwives in urban and Regional Referral Hospital through Review meetings. Our maternity midwifery further, involves sharing Knowledge and innovative skills to address the knowledge gap of midwives through tailored presentations, discussions, demonstrations and talks about the leading killers of mothers and their new-borns. The skills and knowledge will promote total midwifery care for childbearing families in the region. This hence will contribute to improved service delivery, hence contributing to reduced maternal and perinatal deaths in the region thus addressing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3and 4 (i.e. good health for All and quality education).
